And we are back! While many folks are taking a break from PGA DFS while they focus on NFL, we will provide a quick article each week to highlight our favorite picks of the week. We kick off the season in Napa, California at Silverado Resort & Spa (North). The course plays at 7,200 yards coming in as a Par 72. The Safeway Open has been held at Silverado since 2014 so be careful when digging deep into course history. The PGA fall series will feature plenty of fresh graduates off of the Web.com Tour and few studs which will give those that research an edge. As we are focusing our time and efforts on NFL this fall, the PGA articles will highlight the statistics we feel are the best fit for the course as well as our favorite picks. As always feel free to reach out to us with any questions you may have.

Kevin Na ($9,400) – Look, this is never the sexiest pick on the board. However, Na has posted 2nd and 7th place finishes at Silverado so he shows that he loves this place. When you take distance out of the equation, Na becomes an even better play. He also finished the 2017 season with 2 top 10’s in his last 4 tournaments. In his las 24 rounds, Na ranks 3rd in BoB%, 1st in SG:App, 11th in SG: ARG, and 37th in GIR%. Those are pretty solid numbers paired with excellent course history.
Brendan Steele ($9,000) – Play Brendan Steele in California and move on. Seriously, he plays so much better in the California tournaments highlighted with his win here last year. In his last 24 rounds, Steele ranks 8th in SG:T2G, 4th in GIR%, and 8th in SG: OTT. Don’t overthink it with Steele at this price.
Chez Reavie ($8,900) – If you haven’t figured it out yet, we are going with a balanced lineup approach this week. Reavie ranks 2nd in total strokes gained at the Safeway Open. This is an accuracy player that we targeted quite a bit last year. This guy will knock it straight down the tight fairways and set himself up for some nice approach looks. Reavie’s recent stats aren’t as impressive because of his poor Dell Championship showing. Prior to that, Reavie was on a tear and hasn’t missed a cut since the Byron Nelson. I will target quite a bit of Reavie in a course that doesn’t require distance.
Bud Cauley ($8,400) – If you followed us last year, you knew that we loved Bud. He is a solid T2G player that struggles on the greens. When you throw Poa Annua greens into the mix, anything can happen. When he is on, he can play with the best of them. Bud ranks 24th in SG:T2G and SG:OTT, and 30th in GIR%, SG:ARG, SG:APP in his last 24 rounds. Those are pretty impressive stats you are getting at this price.
